Full | partial removable dentures

Do you suffer from tooth deficiency and want to replace them in the most appropriate way?

There are many types of removable dentures. In order for our dentist to determine which of them will be the most suitable option for you, you will definitely need a consultation with a medical examination.

During this examination, factors such as how long you have been missing teeth and how many teeth are missing, whether you have any dentures, and what is the current condition of your bone tissue.

When is a complete removable denture recommended?

A complete removable denture is a removable denture that is recommended in case of complete tooth loss. This type of prosthesis serves not only to replace teeth, but also to repair gums.

A complete removable denture is made of special plastic, but can also be combined with metal elements. It is important to always keep the prosthesis moist to avoid deformation of its original shape, as this material dries easily.

Thanks to modern technologies, the prostheses fit well, do not fall out due to the vacuum effect, restore normal chewing function and jaw position, and are the most economical solution.

When is a partial removable denture recommended?

We mainly recommend a partial removable denture in the following two cases. First, if the patient still has some of his own teeth, but they are not strong enough to make a fixed prosthesis (bridge). The cause of tooth weakness can be gum disease or bone atrophy, which makes the teeth unable to hold a fixed prosthesis for a long time.

Secondly, if there are not enough teeth, but the installation of dental implants is impossible, for example, due to a lack of bone tissue. In this case, we are considering whether bone grafting will solve the problem, but there are also cases when the patient's general health does not allow for an intervention.

Cleaning of removable dentures

Regular cleaning of dentures is no less important than brushing your own teeth.:

  • the aesthetic appearance is preserved in the long term
  • bacteria and fungi that harm the prosthesis are removed in a timely manner.
  • gum health is maintained
  • proper oral hygiene is ensured
  • fresh breath is provided

In general, it is necessary to remove and clean the removable prosthesis after each meal using a special brush. In addition, chemical disinfection is required 1-2 times a week using tablets to clean the prostheses.

Of course, in our clinic we will provide you with all the necessary information on how to use the appropriate tools and how to properly clean the prostheses.
